Who Should Participate?
The program is focused on current ISACA Members at all levels and experience in the career spectrum. Participate as a Mentee to help launch your career, receive advice on attaining an aspirational role, or upgrade your knowledge and insights through regular communication with your Mentor.
Mentors can have various levels of experience. Our goal is for Mentors to offer actionable and helpful advice, but also share an understanding of the Mentee’s challenges.
The Mentor Program is not intended to be used for tutoring to earn certification(s), although credentialing may be a step along the mentee's journey to achieve their goals.
For more information about qualifications and responsibilities, please see the "Mentor Information" and "Mentee Information" tabs.
How are Matches Made?
Members who join ISACA's Mentorship Program complete a comprehensive profile to let others know more about them and their experience. The system will suggest pairings that have complementary qualities, and has advanced search options to find people with specific attributes. Mentees send a connection request to mentors who they are interested in matching with.
How Does it Work?
Users can choose from three different kinds of connections: one-time "flash" mentoring sessions, three-month commitments, and six-month commitments. Mentors can indicate which kinds of opportunities they are open to, and mentees can send connection requests accordingly. The system will guide the mentoring connection through a series of action items over the duration of the match, from completing a goal-setting worksheet, to scheduling regular meetings, to completing evaluations. ISACA will also share resources and reminders along the way, and the mentoring platform is complete with tools to help facilitate your work. ISACA's Mentorship Program is flexible enough to meet each connection's unique needs, while providing some guidance and structure to help achieve success.
How Do I Earn CPE?
Mentors and mentees are both eligible to earn CPE through their involvement with ISACA's Mentorship Program. Mentors | Mentees | |
Flash Mentoring | Eligible to allocate up to 1 CPE based on the actual time spent participating | Not a CPE eligible activity |
Three Month Matches | Eligible to allocate up to 5 CPE based on the actual time spent participating | Eligible to allocate up to 5 CPE based on the actual time spent participating |
Six Month Matches | Eligible to allocate up to 10 CPE based on the actual time spent participating | Eligible to allocate up to 10 CPE based on the actual time spent participating |
A minimum number of meetings must be recorded in the mentorship platform to consider this a CPE qualifying activity. Mentors and Mentees are also required to participate in three evaluations (one for flash mentoring) throughout the duration of the match.
Additional Opportunities
Mentors and mentees will each be added to respective online communities on Engage, ISACA's online community platform. This enables each group to receive support from others participating in a similar role. Discussion boards and libraries will provide additional resources beyond your one-to-one match.Mentors and mentees will also receive digital badges in the Achievements section of their Engage profiles.

One In Tech, an ISACA Foundation, hosts monthly, one-hour virtual meetups for mentors and mentees. These optional small group, facilitated conversations dive into timely and relevant topics regarding career exploration, professional development, and thriving in the workplace. This is a complimentary component of the ISACA Mentorship Program, powered by One In Tech.
